The Lake District National Park has long since been known for its outstanding natural beauty and it is not hard to see why. Its beautiful landscape was carved out of the earth during the last ice age leaving it with England’s highest mountains, deepest lakes and a whole host of breathtaking views, together with magnificent wildlife and dramatic landscapes.

The Lake District is of course most famous for its numerous lakes the most well known of these being Lake Windermere, which is popular amongst water sport fanatics and walkers alike. Other well known lakes include; Buttermere, Coniston, Derwentwater and Ullswater. However, there are a variety of other lakes too, some much more remote and tranquil such as; Ennerdale Water, Wast Water and Crummock Water. Every lake is different, each having its own unique charm and character.
